This is my first drawing ever of a cat. I got a drafting film *Streichelweich had sent some days ago. That's so sweet, thank you Tina!
I draw it with colored pencils and scan it with a colored background, that's the reason why the whiskers looks so extreme white. I upload the drawing with white background to my scraps [link] by that you see it's not so white like it show.
Maybe I surpise you with a cat drawing, I bet a lot of you thought my next one will be again a human portrait.
It was really fun to draw and I enjoy it, maybe it's not perfect. So if there any cat drawer who see some defaults please let me know!

Oh, wow!!! I LOVE Maine Coon cats!! They're the sweetest-natured, smartest and most personable cats I've ever known, and this is just a perfect portrait of one! Such lush work on the fur--there are so many colors in their coats, it must've taken every pencil in the box! The eyes are amazing (and these kitties really LOOK at you, just like this: they're the only cats I know that can win a staredown contest with a human! lol!)--so REAL! Gorgeous, gorgeous work!
And they ARE big! Long-limbed, long-bodied--so pretty! They take up your whole lap when they get settled there, and they're heavy to hold--but they're very affectionate and personable, and make very good companions! I LOVE this piece!
